Guy Montag, Fireman
Guy Montag is the protagonist in Fahrenheit 451. He is a fireman who starts to think thoughts that are the opposite of what the police want people to. He searches for the meaning of the books he is burning, and to help his search, he steals one. His thoughts are affected a lot by people, especially Clarisse and Faber. They think differently than what they are supposed to. One of his biggest regrets is not having a good relationship with his wife, which he starts to realize along the course of the book. He regrets this especially when he watches the bomb descend and explode and he realizes she died.
